We’re Hiring: Intermediate to Senior Architectural Technologist (Hybrid / GTA)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, ambitious Intermediate to Senior Architectural Technologist to join our collaborative and dynamic studio environment.
This is a hybrid role based out of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), offering a perfect balance of remote flexibility and vibrant in-person team collaboration.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in executing high-impact commercial retail or institutional projects. You will bridge the gap between visionary design concepts and technical reality, producing high-quality working drawings and coordinating across all stages of project development. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Documentation: Translate preliminary concepts, master plans, and sketches into comprehensive, precise construction documentation and working drawings
- Project Coordination: Support project managers from initial feasibility and design phases through to contract administration
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact, effectively communicating and liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal leadership
- Building Science Application: Ensure all designs comply with current building codes, zoning bylaws, and advanced technical standards, keeping a sharp eye on sustainable detailing
What You Bring to the Table
- Education & Experience: A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Architectural Science, or a related field, backed by 7+ years of progressive professional experience
- Sector Expertise: Proven experience working on large-scale commercial, retail, mixed-use, or institutional developments
- Advanced Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Revit is required for this role, as you will be working extensively within a BIM environment. Familiarity with AutoCAD and design suites (like Adobe Creative Cloud) is highly valued
- Technical Acumen: Deep knowledge of building science, construction assemblies, detailing, and the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
- Communication & Drive: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. OAA membership or eligibility is considered a strong asset
