As a part of Millbank Generation Station team, the Electrical Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems at the Millbank and Ste. Rose Generating Stations. The role contributes to the safe and reliable operation of generating assets while assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects and maintenance activities to achieve station reliability, performance, and operational goals.
Key functions include:
- Provide troubleshooting, repair, and corrective and preventive maintenance support for electrical, instrumentation, and control (EIC) systems to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of generating station assets.
- Install, test, calibrate and commission electrical, instrumentation, and control (EIC) systems in accordance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP and support capital project planning, including vendor coordination and quotation requests.
Our ideal teammate will have:
- Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification (CQ) with Red Seal Endorsement
In addition to:
- Experience in an industrial environment working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial control systems, including troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control circuits using schematics, technical documentation, software applications, and vendor support.
- Class 5 Drivers License
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
