Administrative Coordinator – Special Projects – Leave Replacement

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Employment Services Manager, the Administrative Coordinator – Special Projects will provide administrative and project coordination support for GDITE’s Apprenticeship and Entrepreneurship projects. Duties will include: coordinating daily project activities; maintaining accurate client and project records; supporting program planning, implementation, communications and reporting; coordinating meetings and workshops; monitoring timelines, expenditures and deliverables; preparing program materials and reports; liaising with participants, employers, training institutions and partners; and identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and systems. The position will also provide general administrative support to GDITE programs as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, Administrative Assistant or a related field, or a minimum of two years of post-secondary education combined with relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. The candidate will have administrative or project coordination experience, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, and demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint, is required. Experience supporting program implementation, reporting, record keeping or process improvement is an asset, as well as knowledge or experience working with Indigenous communities, employment programs, apprenticeship programming or federally funded projects.
Term: November 2026 to March 2028
