Sessional Instructor – Interprofessional Experiences in Teaching (Secondary Program) ECS 310

Responsibilities: NSITEP La Ronge requires a sessional instructor for ECS 310 -Interprofessional Experiences in Teaching. This course introduces students to their role in making professional choices about teaching and learning in holistic and integrative ways. Students will continue to critique practices, policies and institutions related to schooling, continue to develop their understanding of the role of law and ethics in education and identify conceptual models and practice skills related to interprofessional collaboration.
The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering appropriate course content to students. The instructor will manage classroom activities to ensure an optimal learning environment. Additionally, the instructor will evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback, while being mindful of and implementing culturally responsive teaching approaches.
Qualifications: Candidates will have a Master of Education degree or graduate degree in the appropriate area of instruction and experience within the education system appropriate to the content of the course. An understanding of Gabriel Dumont Institute values and previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations is required. Candidates must be approved by the University of Regina.
Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: La Ronge, SK (in person)
Term: January 4, 2027 to April 23, 2027 (39 contact hours)
