Description:
Our client is looking to hire a Sr. Guidewire Policy Center Cloud Integration Lead for a minimum 6 months.
Your New Role
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Cloud Integration Lead to drive the design, architecture, and delivery of integration solutions across Guidewire PolicyCenter and the broader enterprise ecosystem. The ideal candidate is Guidewire ACE Certified in Cloud Integration, brings strong technical leadership experience, and is capable of guiding a team of integration developers while engaging directly with client architects and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the design and architecture of integration solutions between Guidewire PolicyCenter and internal/external systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
· Define and govern integration standards, patterns, and best practices across Messaging, Plugins, Batch Processes, Event-based architecture, and REST/SOAP APIs.
· Own end-to-end delivery of integration workstreams, including Cloud API, Edge APIs, and Cloud Data Access (CDA) implementations.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of PolicyCenter integration developers, conducting design/code reviews and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
· Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and client leadership to translate business requirements into robust integration designs.
· Drive integration strategy for cloud migration initiatives, ensuring continuity and minimal disruption during on-prem to Guidewire Cloud (SaaS) transitions.
· Lead integration efforts across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and third-party systems (rating engines, payment gateways, document management, data warehouses, etc.).
· Oversee middleware/ESB integration strategy (MuleSoft, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar) in conjunction with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).
· Manage production support escalations, lead root-cause analysis for critical integration issues, and define preventive measures.
· Drive sprint planning, estimation, and resource allocation for integration deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment.
· Partner with QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices for integration components.
· Prepare and present technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and status reports to client leadership and steering committees.
· Stay current with Guidewire Cloud Platform roadmap and proactively recommend adoption of new integration capabilities (Jutro, Guidewire Marketplace accelerators, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 9–12 years of overall IT experience, with 6+ years specifically in Guidewire PolicyCenter integration, including prior experience in a technical lead or architect capacity.
· Mandatory: Guidewire ACE Certification in PolicyCenter Cloud Integration.
· Deep hands-on and architectural expertise in Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) - Messaging, Event Messages, Batch, REST/SOAP APIs, Edge APIs, Cloud Data Access.
· Strong command of Gosu scripting for integration configuration (plugins, batch processes, event messages) and ability to guide teams on best practices.
· Proven experience leading middleware/ESB integrations (MuleSoft, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar) with Guidewire.
· Strong understanding of XML, JSON, SQL, Java/J2EE, web service standards (REST/SOAP, WSDL), and data mapping/ETL concepts.
· Demonstrated experience leading or contributing significantly to Guidewire Cloud migration programs (on-prem to SaaS).
· Strong knowledge of P&C Insurance domain processes (Policy, Billing, Claims lifecycle).
