Clinical Receptionist
Our public sector client is seeking a professional and client-focused Clinical Receptionist for a long-term assignment.
This is a front-line role responsible for supporting day-to-day clinical reception operations while ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for patients and visitors. You will serve as the first point of contact, manage appointment scheduling, support client registration processes, and provide administrative assistance to the clinical team.
In this role, you will coordinate incoming calls, maintain accurate client records, support documentation and office processes, and ensure adherence to established protocols within a community-based healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and direct patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage incoming calls and route inquiries appropriately
- Support client registration and appointment scheduling
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Provide administrative support to clinical staff
- Assist with documentation, forms, and office supply coordination
- Support crisis response procedures when required
- Ensure a high standard of client service and data quality
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in a medical or healthcare reception environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred
