We are looking for a Project Coordinator for a 1 year contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 1 day a week on site in Downtown Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with downstream stakeholders to confirm project testing activities and obtain required sign-offs once functional testing has been completed.
- Monitor environment and resource availability across projects and the broader book of work (BOW).
- Act as a central point of coordination by maintaining visibility into project timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers across Apex, Impact, and CMDA initiatives.
- Consolidate project updates and provide clear status information to relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with the internal Project Management/PMO team to obtain updates on high-level initiatives and ensure project information remains current.
- Coordinate with Production Support through regular weekly touchpoints to intake, document, and track newly raised issues.
- Follow up on outstanding issues, action items, dependencies, and stakeholder commitments to ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with the Trade Control team to identify and help minimize issues related to the trade booking process.
- Maintain project documentation, status trackers, action logs, and other project control materials.
- Support project reporting and provide timely escalation of risks, blockers, and issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication across Business, Technology, Project Management, Production Support, and Capital Markets teams.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 1–3 years of PCO, Project Coordinator, PMO, or Project Control experience within Financial Services.
- Experience working in a banking, capital markets, investment banking, or financial services environment.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Experience tracking project timelines, dependencies, issues, risks, and action items.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technology teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consolidate information from multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and project/status tracking tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience supporting Capital Markets projects.
- Knowledge of trade booking processes or Trade Control functions.
- Experience working with Production Support or application support teams.
- Exposure to Apex, Impact, or CMDA environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management/tracking tools.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing, UAT, and production release processes.
- Previous experience working within a large Canadian bank or financial institution.
