Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Project Coordinator to join in a net new position for one of our clients in the commercial construction industry. This individual will support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects by assisting Project Managers and Site Superintendents throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining project documentation, coordinating RFIs and submittals, supporting procurement activities, tracking project schedules and budgets, assisting with contract administration, and ensuring project teams have accurate and up-to-date information. This position is ideal for someone looking to continue developing their construction management career with the goal of progressing into a Project Manager role. The successful candidate will come from a commercial General Contractor environment and have experience supporting the delivery of commercial, institutional, mixed-use, retail, healthcare, educational, or other building construction projects. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
- 1-4 years of experience working as a Project Coordinator within a commercial construction environment
- Experience working for a Commercial General Contractor
- Experience supporting commercial, institutional, mixed-use, retail, healthcare, educational, or public-sector construction projects
- Knowledge of construction project lifecycles from preconstruction through project closeout
- Experience managing or supporting: ○ RFIs ○ Submittals ○ Change orders ○ Meeting minutes ○ Procurement logs ○ Contract documentation
- Familiarity with construction schedules, budgets, and project reporting • Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with commercial projects valued at $5M+
- Exposure to Construction Management (CM) and Lump Sum delivery models
- Estimating or quantity takeoff experience
- EIT, Gold Seal, PMP coursework, or other construction-related certifications
- Experience working on both new-build and renovation projects
