JOB DESCRIPTION: $135k-$160k/year - 5 days a week onsite in North York
Position Purpose
The Senior Manager, Finance is a strategic leader providing financial leadership, insight, and decision support to the Contractor Services and Pro businesses. Partnering with business leadership and the Director of Finance, this role drives profitable growth, optimizes investments, and leads a portfolio supported by three experienced analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Contractor Services and Pro leadership, translating results, risks, opportunities, and operational drivers into clear recommendations.
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, monthly and quarterly reviews, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
- Provide direction across the team’s three distinct portfolios: planning and reporting, outside-sales support, and forward-looking strategic projects.
- Evaluate investments, business cases, capital priorities, cash flow, working capital, and balance-sheet performance.
- Partner with Accounting and Shared Services on close activities while maintaining reporting accuracy, controls, and governance.
- Build partnerships across Finance, Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Technology, and other functions.
- Lead, coach, and develop finance professionals, allocate work effectively, and advocate for the team.
- Present to senior leadership and clearly articulate the financial reasoning behind recommendations.

The Contractor Services & Pro Finance team is a trusted strategic partner to the Pro business, providing the financial insight, planning, and decision support needed to drive sustainable growth. The team supports a broad portfolio through financial planning and reporting, outside-sales partnership, and forward-looking strategic initiatives. Team members collaborate closely with business leaders and cross-functional partners to translate financial data into clear recommendations, improve performance, and help shape the future of the Pro business. Working Environment & Technology
- Excel is the primary tool.
- Ability to navigate Tableau and support analysts using it.
- Working familiarity with GBQ is helpful.
- Comfort with Copilot, Gemini, and other AI tools.
- SQL and Python are not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 3-5+ years of progressive FP&A, controllership, or business-facing finance experience, with strong accounting fundamentals.
- A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a people-leadership role with direct reports.
- Prior experience as a financial analyst and demonstrated success in planning, forecasting, business analysis, and performance management.
- Strong experience partnering with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence, judgment, communication, storytelling, and influence.
- Intermediate (or higher) skills with Excel.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation strongly preferred; MBA or advanced business degree is an asset.
- Experience supporting retail, e-commerce, operational, supply chain, distribution, or commercial business functions.
- Working familiarity with GBQ and the ability to support analysts when needed.
- Experience using AI tools such as Copilot or Gemini.
