Our client is an automation and controls provider for machine builders and companies looking to expand their team in the Water/Wastewater division. They are actively looking to hire an Instrumentation Service Technician to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all company and client environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Inspect, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation in accordance with technical specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and advanced measurement devices for wiring, testing, and installation activities.
- Operate standard instrumentation testing equipment, including field calibrators and HART communicators.
- Perform field service work, including startup, commissioning, and control panel modifications as required.
- Support I/O verification during FAT and SAT and assist programming teams throughout these processes.
- Provide timely response to customer emergency service requests.
- Produce accurate and detailed technical service reports and documentation.
- Reconfigure or rewire control panels as needed to address field changes during startup and commissioning.
- Participate in project meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical training to customers on company systems.
- Complete additional related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
- Diploma or degree in instrumentation, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Two to three years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with both clients and internal teams at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, varying weather conditions, and at heights when required.
- Dependable, highly motivated, and attentive to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Willingness to spend up to 70% of working time at customer sites.
