Assembly Line Technician
Location: Calgary, AB
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Employment Type: 1-Year Contract
Start Date: October 5th
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional weekend work may be required
Training: Two weeks in Leduc, AB (all expenses covered)
We are currently seeking an experienced Assembly Line Technician to join our dynamic team in Calgary. In this role, you will assemble components and subassemblies for downhole tools, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and material traceability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble downhole tool components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measurement equipment
- Verify parts, serial numbers, heat numbers, and batch/lot information
- Complete work orders, inspection records, and ERP transactions
- Identify and report quality issues, material discrepancies, and non-conformances
- Collaborate with Materials, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience
- Oil and gas or downhole tool experience is an asset
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing tracking systems is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Availability for 2 weeks of training in Leduc, AB
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends as required
