We are seeking an experienced Governance Specialist, Asset Management, to support a large-scale Asset Management Program within the utilities sector. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on translating complex business requirements into sustainable processes, governance frameworks, and strategic asset management solutions.
Working within a collaborative governance team, you will partner with stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance, technology, and leadership groups to strengthen asset management practices, improve business processes, and support enterprise-wide integration initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate and maintain asset management governance and assurance activities.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, process, data, and functional requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, process reviews, and requirements sessions.
- Develop current-state and future-state process maps and business workflows.
- Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support integration initiatives across multiple business units, systems, and asset classes.
- Create and maintain process documentation, procedures, templates, standards, and governance artifacts.
- Develop executive presentations, reports, dashboards, and management review materials.
- Manage and enhance SharePoint content, document control, and governance practices.
- Support change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and training activities.
- Track project risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and implementation readiness activities.
- Assist with asset management maturity assessments, audits, and performance measurement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
✅ Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Asset Management, Project Management, or related discipline
✅ 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Asset Management
- Business Analysis
- Governance
- Process Improvement
- Program or Project Management
- Change Management
✅ Proven experience:
- Eliciting and documenting business requirements
- Process mapping and workflow design
- Current-state and future-state analysis
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation
- Cross-functional program coordination
- Executive-level reporting and presentations
✅ Advanced proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel
- PowerPoint
- Word
- Outlook
- Teams
- SharePoint
✅ Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Utilities, energy, infrastructure, or engineering industry experience
⭐ Knowledge of:
- Asset Management frameworks and governance
- Lifecycle planning
- Risk-based decision-making
- Performance management practices

- SharePoint administration
- Copperleaf

- Enterprise transformation initiatives

- CBAP

Work Environment
- Hybrid work arrangement
- Office located in Toronto, ON
- Minimal travel required (less than 5%)
- Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week
