Job Title: Mutual Funds Operations Analyst (Hybrid, Toronto)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, near M5S 1M2)
Duration: 12 months (Oct. 26, 2026 – Oct. 25, 2027)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $30.00/hr + 4% vacation pay
Extension/Conversion: Possible, based on business needs and performance
About the Role
Join a highly collaborative, close-knit team of 20 professionals supporting business-as-usual (BAU) operations in a dynamic financial environment. This crucial role offers growth, ongoing support, and the opportunity to build your expertise in mutual funds processing. Key Responsibilities
- Process mutual fund trades and settlements efficiently and accurately.
- Investigate and resolve transaction breaks and discrepancies.
- Handle FundSERV transactions and manage money movements.
- Use Excel macros and advanced spreadsheet techniques to support operations.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and respond to internal inquiries.
- Maintain compliance with all operational and regulatory procedures.
- Participate in daily team huddles (approx. 15 minutes).
Your Interactions
- Work closely with internal team members - no direct customer-facing responsibilities.
- Responsible for accessing sensitive customer financial data.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: University graduate in a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years in retail banking, mutual funds, or financial operations. Previous experience with trade settlements and/or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) designation is an asset.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivots, and macros).
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Tech-savvy; quick to learn internal systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in a compliance-sensitive environment.
- Adaptable, quick learner, collaborative, and analytical.
