Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON, focused on Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. The role involves preparing and issuing customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding receivables in a timely and professional manner. The team member will process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, code expenses to the correct accounts, and schedule payments according to company policies. Daily responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining up-to-date records in the accounting system, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role also includes responding to internal and external inquiries about invoices and payments, assisting with audits, and collaborating with operations and management to ensure accurate financial data across multiple divisions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, including invoice preparation, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, and basic reporting functions).
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles, recordkeeping, and financial documentation requirements.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to work on-site in Georgetown, ON and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, equipment, or related industries is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent practical experience.
