Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Windsor, ON N8W 5B5
Duration: 12+ Months
Pay: CAD 40 - $45 CAD/hr (DOE) per hour on T4
Skills Required:
- Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and SVN experience
- Commit, branching, pull-request, and merge practices
- Script revision tracking and rollback
- Multi-engineer development workflows
- Test-script governance and approval
- Validation and regression testing
- Risks of uncontrolled test-stand changes
- Release documentation and validation evidence
- Reproducing historical script/configuration versions
- Maintainable automation architecture
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in test scripting and automation of hardware systems (excluding software application testing)
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as VB Script, MATLAB, and Python
- Working knowledge of CAN communication
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced lab environment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
