MacDonald Search Group has partnered with a B.C.-based food manufacturer in search of a Sales Representatives. Our client is a distributor and protein supplier to BC’s retail Industry and they are in a growth mode!
The ideal candidate brings several years of relevant experience - or a comparable record of achievement - in meat retail, protein distribution, foodservice sales, buying, merchandising, account management or business development. Candidates will possess strong working knowledge of beef, pork, poultry and other proteins, including cuts, grades, specifications, yields, applications, quality levels, pricing considerations and merchandising. This is a retail focused role, calling on butcher shops, independent markets and all the regional and national retailers.
The candidate will possess these skills and have this experience:
- Demonstrated ability to recommend, explain and sell meat products
- Proficiency with CRM tools, account mapping, forecasting and pricing
- Proven customer-facing sales, account-management, merchandising or department-management experience
- Polished and professional personal presentation and be a strong communicator
- Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-up with customers
The compensation for the role will vary greatly based on experience, but the base salary will be in the $60,000-$100,000 range + bonus + car allowance.
