Inclusion Leadership & Program Support
- Lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices across all program areas
- Support educators in adapting programming to meet diverse developmental, behavioural, and cultural needs
- Ensure all children can meaningfully participate in daily activities
- Promote a strengths-based, child-centred approach
Individualized Planning & Coordination
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
- Coordinate supports for children with additional needs
- Liaise with external agencies, specialists, and inclusion funding programs
- Support transition planning (into care, between rooms, to school)
Staff Training & Capacity Building
- Provide coaching, modelling, and mentoring to staff on:
- Behaviour guidance strategies
- Inclusive practices
- Cultural responsiveness
- Identify training needs and support professional development plans
- Assist in onboarding staff with inclusion expectations
Support & Oversight of Staff working with ISP children
- Provide direction and support to staff
- Ensure consistency in strategies and expectations
- Assist with scheduling and effective deployment of supports
- Monitor effectiveness of support plans
Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with families of children requiring additional support
- Participate in meetings with families and external professionals
- Provide guidance and resources to families when appropriate
Equity, Diversity & Cultural Inclusion
- Promote an inclusive environment that reflects diversity in culture, language, and family structure
- Support staff in implementing culturally responsive programming
- Review and recommend improvements to materials, environments, and practices
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and confidential records related to inclusion supports
- Assist with documentation required for inclusion funding
- Ensure practices align with Manitoba ELCC standards and expectations
