Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, maintain, and support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and related cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure services.
- Configure and maintain integrations between Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, messaging, and on-premises systems.
- Administer identity synchronization, authentication, role-based access control, and privileged access capabilities.
- Monitor the availability, capacity, performance, security, and operational health of supported infrastructure services.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service degradation, configuration issues, and integration failures.
- Plan, test, document, and implement approved changes, upgrades, migrations, and service improvements.
- Assess Microsoft service changes and new capabilities, and provide technical impact analyses and recommendations.
- Identify infrastructure risks, vulnerabilities, and configuration deficiencies, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Support backup, recovery, business-continuity, and disaster-recovery activities for applicable services.
- Develop and maintain solution designs, configuration records, implementation plans, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, change records, and knowledge articles.
- Provide technical analysis, advice, options, and recommendations to management, technical teams, and stakeholders.
- Provide knowledge transfer, technical guidance, and operational handover to designated personnel.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange environments with a minimum size of 40,000 users, including Exchange Online administration, Exchange Server administration, hybrid Exchange configuration, mail flow and transport configuration, and email security configuration.
- 3+ years of experience configuring, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure infrastructure services, including Azure virtual networks and subnets, Network Security Groups, Azure virtual machines, Azure Storage, and role-based access control for Azure resources.
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and on-premises Active Directory Domain Services in a hybrid identity environment, including Microsoft Entra Connect Sync or Azure AD Connect, authentication and identity synchronization, role-based access control, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management.
- 3+ years of experience developing and using scripts or functions to automate the administration, configuration, monitoring, or reporting of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or Microsoft Exchange infrastructure services, including at least two examples of automation developed or substantially modified by the resource.
- Experience providing operational support for at least two enterprise Microsoft infrastructure environments, including monitoring service availability, performance, and operational health; investigating and resolving complex incidents; implementing changes through an established change-management process; identifying technical risks or configuration deficiencies; and developing or updating operational documentation.
- At least two active Microsoft certifications from the following: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert; Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert; or Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate.
Active Secret security clearance required.
