About Polaron

Polaron Energy Corp. is one of Canada’s leading solar energy companies, helping homeowners and businesses transition to clean, renewable energy. Our team works at the forefront of solar innovation, delivering high-quality solar PV solutions, including rooftop systems, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure. We are growing, and we want driven, detail-oriented people to grow with us.

Role Overview

The Project Manager owns the delivery of residential and commercial solar projects from the moment they enter project management through to installation. Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and field teams, this role keeps projects moving on schedule, surfaces and resolves blockers early, and manages change orders so that every project is delivered accurately and to the customer’s expectations. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career project manager looking to build hands-on experience in the clean energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Active Project Management

  • Manage a portfolio of active solar projects from handoff into project management through installation
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and task assignments
  • Monitor project progress against schedule and take corrective action when timelines are at risk
  • Confirm all pre-installation requirements (design, permits, utility approvals, equipment, and site readiness) are complete before scheduling installation
  • Maintain accurate project records, status updates, and documentation within internal systems and CRM platforms

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the central point of coordination between sales, engineering, operations, and installation teams
  • Facilitate clear handoffs between departments at each project stage
  • Communicate project requirements, dependencies, and updates to internal stakeholders
  • Act as a point of contact for customers on project status, timelines, and next steps

Project Status & Pipeline Blockers

  • Track the status of all projects in the pipeline and provide regular status reporting to leadership
  • Identify blockers such as missing documentation, design issues, permitting or utility delays, and equipment constraints, and drive them to resolution
  • Escalate risks and unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Contribute to pipeline reviews and help prioritize projects to maintain workflow efficiency

Change Orders

  • Manage the change order process from request through execution
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on scope, design, cost, and schedule
  • Coordinate with sales, engineering, and operations to review, approve, and document changes
  • Communicate changes clearly to customers and internal teams and ensure all required actions are completed before installation proceeds

Process Improvement

  • Identify recurring delays or bottlenecks and recommend improvements to project workflows
  • Support the development of project management standards, templates, and reporting tools

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, or a related role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across departments and with customers
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying and resolving problems
  • High attention to detail and accountability for outcomes
  • Experience with CRM systems or project management tools is an asset
  • Experience in solar, renewable energy, construction, or the trades is an asset
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management training is an asset

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range of $45,000 – $50,000/year, based on experience
  • Performance bonus
  • Group benefits eligibility after three months of employment
  • Hybrid work arrangement (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
