Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Operational Development to lead enterprise-wide operational improvement initiatives and drive organizational excellence. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing operational strategies that enhance efficiency, scalability, performance, and long-term business success.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in operations, continuous improvement, and change management, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead transformation initiatives across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness across the business.
- Lead the design, optimization, and standardization of operational processes, systems, and workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish performance metrics to measure success.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to implement business transformation projects.
- Support Plant Managers in identifying, tracking, and improving key operational KPIs.
- Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor operational performance.
- Lead change management initiatives and ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
- Evaluate and implement technologies and tools that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, process improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation.
- Proven success leading cross-functional projects and organizational change initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
