Our well-established client is continuing to grow and is looking to add a Senior Property Accountant to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property accounting professional who has strong mixed-use property experience and enjoys building and improving accounting processes.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Property Accountant, you will play an important role in managing the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties. A key component of this position will be helping the organization build and implement accounting processes, establish budgets, and create structure around portions of the growing property portfolio.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who can do more than maintain existing processes. They are looking for someone who can assess what is needed, build processes from the ground up, and help create stronger financial systems as the business grows.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within commercial real estate/property accounting
- Must have experience with mixed-use properties
- Must have experience creating and implementing accounting processes
- Must have experience developing and managing budgets, ideally at the property or portfolio level
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with property-level financial statements, reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes
- Ability to develop structure and processes within a growing organization
- Strong analytic
