Position: Director Finance & Operations
Location: Burnaby, BC ON-SITE
Salary: $165,000 -180,000, + bonus

Company Overview
Our client, an established Real Estate Developer, is seeking a Director, Finance to join their Executive Team. The Director, Finance will report to the CFO and assume a strategic role in the overall financial management of the company. The position will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.
Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To
- Responsible for the supervision, guidance and overall smooth operations of the Accounting Department.
- Oversee day to day financial business operations including reporting systems and policies, new project evaluation, project closing and funding and cash flow management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners, accounting firms, law firms, banks, external auditors, insurers and realtors.
- Assist Principals to negotiate and secure all bank financing for acquisitions development and construction projects.
- Support Development team with proformas, disclosure statements, building closings, and manage changes.
- Collaborate with executive team and review the procurement of assets and sales, construction and lease contracts.
- Preparation of long–range business plans including projections of taxable income, cash flow and capital projections.

Requirements
- CPA designation
- 7+ yrs progressive financial responsibility within real estate, development, or construction related industry.
- Strong management skills, ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and external clients.
