Data Analytics & Data Science Consultant – Asset Planning
Contract: 6 months, with strong possibility of extension
Location: Burnaby- Hybrid -2 days per week in the office.

Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
A minimum eleven (11) years of directly related work experience or equivalent.
Strong Oracle SQL, Python, and Power BI skills.

We’re looking for a Data Analytics & Data Science Consultant who combines strong technical skills with the ability to understand business problems and turn complex data into practical solutions. The role supports asset planning, reliability, asset management, and operational decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand challenges and analytics needs.
- Analyze and integrate large datasets from multiple enterprise systems.
- Develop complex Oracle SQL queries and use Python for data processing, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Build Power BI dashboards, data models, KPIs, and visualizations.
- Perform statistical analysis and identify trends, risks, anomalies, and performance drivers.
- Develop predictive analytics and machine-learning solutions.
- Explore practical AI/Generative AI, AI agents, and intelligent workflow opportunities.
- Investigate data-quality issues and improve data reliability.
- Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on Oracle SQL, Python, and Power BI skills.
- Experience with data engineering, analytics, visualization, and data science.
- Knowledge of machine learning, statistical analysis, AI and Generative AI.
- Strong business-facing experience translating requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently take an ambiguous business problem through to a completed analytics solution.
Nice to Have: Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure, engineering or asset management. Exposure to SAP EAM/S/4HANA, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, or Copilot is also an asset.
