We are looking for an experienced network professional to support infrastructure modernization and connectivity initiatives within a complex technical environment. This position will focus on network hardware deployments, connectivity changes, equipment configuration, technical troubleshooting, and implementation support.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full implementation lifecycle, from initial site review and equipment preparation through deployment, transition, and removal of outdated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of network infrastructure upgrades.
- Review site readiness and identify technical or physical deployment requirements.
- Prepare, install, and configure enterprise networking equipment.
- Support the replacement and modernization of network switching infrastructure.
- Transfer and adapt existing configurations to updated equipment.
- Configure network traffic, security, connectivity, and access rules.
- Investigate and resolve network performance and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate connectivity changes with external telecommunications providers.
- Prepare equipment and configurations before onsite implementation.
- Participate in scheduled deployments, service transitions, and production cutovers.
- Assist with the safe retirement of outdated network equipment and connectivity services.
- Install hardware and complete related physical infrastructure activities.
- Provide support for additional components required during network implementations.
- Maintain alignment with established technical standards and implementation procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, or comparable training in networking, telecommunications, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant networking certification or equivalent technical credentials.
- Four or more years of recent experience supporting enterprise data networks.
- At least three years of experience with network implementations, site readiness activities, technical standards, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience configuring and replacing enterprise network switches.
- Experience working with routing, network security rules, firewalls, and address translation.
- Experience coordinating connectivity deployments or migrations with third-party service providers.
- Ability to support equipment staging, field implementation, service transitions, and post-deployment activities.
- Experience removing or retiring legacy network infrastructure.
- Comfortable completing hands-on hardware installation and physical network work.
- Availability to support scheduled implementations outside standard business hours when necessary.
