About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Accounting will provide leadership across accounting operations, treasury, financial reporting, controls, and audit activities while supporting a growing business with complex reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead treasury, cash management, cash flow forecasting, and accounts payable functions
- Oversee financial reporting and coordination with the parent company's finance team
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and provide leadership to a multi-level finance team
- Support SOX compliance, internal controls, audit activities, and governance requirements
- Review financial results and reporting packages to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Partner with leadership on process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
- Support the organization through ongoing growth and operational expansion
- Provide strategic leadership across accounting, reporting, treasury, and finance operations
About You
- CPA designation (Canadian or U.S.)
- Experience leading accounting and finance teams
- Strong financial reporting experience in complex, multi-entity organizations
- Experience with treasury, cash flow forecasting, and accounts payable
- Exposure to public-company reporting, internal controls, and audits
- Industry experience in project-based, professional services, engineering, consulting, utilities, construction, logistics, technology, or similar environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership
Compensation
- Base Salary: $150,000 - $180,000
- Bonus: 10-20% target
