CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
Your future duties and responsibilities
The CGI GTO Transformation team is the creative force behind CGI Unify360 management platform, one of the core components of our worldwide service offering for transformational IT outsourcing enablement called CGI Unify360 Suite.
CGI Unify360 is a cloud application, a data platform and an integration gateway to deliver unique user experience for managing today’s IT landscape that spans beyond traditional enterprise boundaries. It is built using a very wide spectrum of open-source products and software defined infrastructure technologies to allow greater agility and flexibility in order to meet our customers’ specific needs.
- Determine client requirements and system specifications, and work closely with internal CGI teams and customers to ensure business and technical needs are met.
- Develop web front end code, as well as middle layer code, according to technical specifications, established standards and established frameworks.
- Ensure tasks are handled, statuses are communicated to Tech Lead and completed per approved schedule.
- Produce project outputs through standard delivery process, conforming to standard level of documentation.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Ability to seek problems and find solutions with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
- Experience in Web front end development (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JQuery and Bootstrap)
- Strong grasp of at least one object-oriented programming language, ideally Java and others such as C++, C# and Objective C
- Proficiency navigating in a large code base.
- Self-starter and goal oriented.
Skills and experience in any of the following would be considered an advantage:
- Operating systems: Unix, Jenkins, Eclipse or similar IDE
- Java EE (Restful web services, SOAP webservices)
- Spring Framework (MVC, WebFlow, Security)
- JBoss or Weblogic
- Project management: Maven, Agile methodology, Oracle/SQL
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with both national and international clients.
