- Title: CAN - Accountant III
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (4xdays In office)
- Contract Duration: 6 months + Possible extensions
Role Summary
This role provides day-to-day operational support within a fast-paced, call center environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting outbound calls to financial institutions and ensuring client transfer requests are processed accurately and efficiently. This is a highly collaborative team of approximately 20 members with extensive training and ongoing support provided.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
- Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Making outbound calls to financial institutions and updating internal systems
- This is a call center environment
- 80% of functions will include candidates conducting outbound calls; responsible for the timely and accurate follow-up of client transfers from other financial institutions
- 20% of functions will include data entry functions, i.e. updating in-house systems and working closely on ISM, Kofax (Imaging system) and in house Case Management software.
MUST-HAVE Skills:
-Operations experience in banking/financial: 1-2 years
-Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
-High Technical Aptitude
-Strong Excel - need good understanding of using excel spreadsheets (will be using spreadsheets with macros, need to have strong technical skills to be able to pick up on learning macros during training)
SOFT SKILLS:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills for when candidates are updating tickets and carrying out data entry duties.
-Professional and interpersonal skills – for making phone calls (phone experience is a -strong must have skill required for the role).
-Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
-High Technical Aptitude
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Previous experience with ISM, EIS, Ticketing
- Bilingual – French and English
- Experience with macros are a huge plus
