Accident Benefits Coordinator

About the Role
As an Accident Benefits Coordinator, you will support a team of senior clerks and lawyers by managing the day-to-day administrative and file maintenance responsibilities for Accident Benefits files. Initially, you will assist with overflow work and learn the firm's processes, systems, and best practices. As you gain experience and demonstrate success in the role, you will take on increased responsibility and eventually manage your own portfolio of files alongside another coordinator.
This role focuses exclusively on Accident Benefits matters, providing an excellent opportunity to develop specialized expertise in this area of law.
Key Responsibilities
- Request and follow up on productions, including medical reports, records, assessments, and correspondence.
- Receive, review, and process various OCF forms.
- Prepare and draft LAT Applications and supporting documentation.
- Pay invoices and process cheque deposits.
- Maintain file organization, document naming conventions, and overall file upkeep.
- Scan and upload incoming mail, faxes, and documentation into the firm's systems.
- Communicate regularly with rehabilitation facilities, adjusters, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Assist senior clerks with file administration and workflow management.
- Ensure all documentation is processed accurately and efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of Ontario Accident Benefits and OCF forms.
- Previous legal, administrative, or Accident Benefits experience is an asset but not required.
- Recent graduates with relevant education and Accident Benefits exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from the ground up.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working within established processes and collaborating with senior team members.
Technology
Experience with legal software is beneficial. The team currently utilizes Forge and Kent and continues to adopt new technology and tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000–$55,000, depending on experience.

Work Arrangement
- Full-time, in-office onboarding during the first three months.
