Role: QA Automation Lead
Type: 6-12 Months Contract (Hybrid 3-4 days Onsite)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives across multiple projects and releases. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, mobile application testing, API testing, release validation, and stakeholder management. This role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate testing efforts, lead distributed teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing activities, including regression, functional, integration, and release testing.
- Collaborate with business, product, and development teams to understand new features, assess testing impacts, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Drive automation strategy and continuously enhance automation frameworks and test coverage.
- Manage and mentor QA team members, including offshore or distributed teams, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple releases and environments.
- Act as the primary point of contact between QA, project stakeholders, release teams, and development teams.
- Participate in defect triage sessions, perform root cause analysis, and drive defect resolution.
- Support release deployments, production validation, and post-release testing activities.
- Execute and oversee smoke, sanity, API, mobile, and end-to-end automation testing.
- Monitor testing progress, track quality metrics, identify risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, testing standards, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement strategies to improve testing efficiency and quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering roles.
- Proven experience leading QA teams and managing testing activities across multiple projects or releases.
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automation best practices.
- Experience in API testing using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Expertise in mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, ALM, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment validation processes.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
- Experience with defect management, troubleshooting, log analysis, and test reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within highly regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or FinTech.
- Prior experience leading onshore/offshore QA teams.
- Exposure to customer-facing digital products, web applications, or mobile platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
