Our client is a well-established non-profit organization providing residential and community-based services across the GTA. They are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead facilities operations across a diverse portfolio. This is an opportunity to take on a senior facilities leadership role within a stable, purpose-driven organization where the quality and reliability of its buildings directly support the people who call them home.
Your New Employer
This established organization has a long history in the community and a residential platform that continues to evolve. Its properties are more than physical assets; they are homes, workplaces and important community environments, making thoughtful and responsive facilities management particularly important.
The organization offers the stability of a mature platform while continuing to strengthen its approach to preventative maintenance, capital planning, systems, processes and accountability. You will join a collaborative environment where leadership is accessible, ideas are welcomed, and you can make meaningful improvements across the portfolio.
Your Role
As Facilities Manager, you will lead the organization’s residential portfolio and manage and support two Property Supervisors. Your mandate will span day-to-day building operations, preventative maintenance, capital planning, renovations and development projects, contractor management, budgets, compliance and emergency response.
You will oversee building systems, including HVAC, BAS, plumbing, electrical, and fire/life safety, while ensuring maintenance programs, inspections, documentation, and work-order processes are effective and consistent. You will also work with contractors, consultants, architects, government agencies and internal stakeholders on projects and longer-term property initiatives.
What Sets You Apart
You are an experienced facilities or property management professional who understands both the technical and operational sides of managing a multi-site residential portfolio. You can assess building issues, ask the right questions, determine when outside expertise is required and ensure work is followed through to completion.
You are equally comfortable leading people, managing budgets and capital priorities, improving processes and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Experience overseeing maintenance teams, contractors, renovations and complex building systems will be important.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to step into a senior role with genuine influence over how facilities operations are delivered. You will inherit an established platform while having the opportunity to strengthen systems, improve preventative maintenance and contribute to longer-term capital planning.
For someone who enjoys combining facilities leadership with meaningful work, this offers both stability and the opportunity to make a visible impact.
Compensation
Expected annual compensation: $78,000 - 86,000, based on experience.
