Our client is a growing Toronto-based owner, developer and manager of boutique residential rental communities. They are seeking an experienced Property Manager to own a premium purpose-built rental property in Midtown Toronto. This is an opportunity to run a building rather than manage one piece of it, combining property operations, resident experience, and leasing in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
Your New Employer
This is not a large, layered property management organization. The portfolio is intentionally focused; senior leadership and ownership stay closely connected to the properties, and good ideas don't have to travel through multiple levels before they get done.
The company has an established residential portfolio with further development underway, creating a stable platform with genuine room to grow. People who do well here are trusted with responsibility, given direct access to decision-makers and encouraged to take ownership of their properties.
Your Role
You will be the person who truly knows the building. Approximately 70% of your role will focus on property management and 30% on leasing, with responsibility for day-to-day operations, resident relations, property inspections, maintenance coordination, suite readiness, arrears and overall building standards.
Leasing is an important part of the role, not something handed off to another department. You will personally connect with prospects, conduct tours, follow up on leads, process applications and support the move-in experience.
What Sets You Apart
You are an experienced residential Property Manager who likes being present in the building and genuinely enjoys leasing and interacting with residents. You notice the details, identify issues before they become bigger problems, and follow through rather than simply delegating.
You bring strong residential leasing or sales skills, solid knowledge of Ontario residential tenancy requirements, and a practical understanding of building operations. You are polished and service-minded, but equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
Why Join?
This is a chance to have genuine ownership of one premium property while working directly with the people who own the business. You will have autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to make a noticeable impact on the building’s operations, resident experience and leasing performance, with the potential to take on broader responsibility as the portfolio grows.
Compensation
Expected base salary of $85,000 to $95,000 per year. This role is also eligible for a discretionary 10% bonus, which is not guaranteed and may vary based on individual performance and experience. Our client also offers health benefits and the opportunity to build a long-term career.
Take the Next Step
If you are an experienced residential Property Manager who wants more ownership, less bureaucracy and the opportunity to genuinely run a property, and you meet the qualifications outlined above, we will be in touch within 48 hours to discuss how HighView can help you make your Best Next Move.
