Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Fixed Income (FI) domain knowledge to support business and technology initiatives within a global financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Fixed Income products, capital markets processes, and trade lifecycles, combined with strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
The candidate will work closely with business users, technology teams, operations, and project stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, define solutions, and support delivery of complex initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements for Fixed Income initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, pain points, and technology requirements.
- Analyze Fixed Income trading and securities processes, including relevant front-to-back workflows.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood and solutions meet business objectives.
- Perform current-state and future-state process analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Support system enhancements, integrations, and transformation initiatives impacting Fixed Income businesses.
- Collaborate with trading, operations, technology, risk, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support testing activities including test planning, test case development, UAT, defect analysis, and resolution.
- Track requirements, dependencies, risks, issues, and project deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare project documentation and communicate findings, status, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or capital markets.
- Strong Fixed Income (FI) domain knowledge is required.
- Experience with Fixed Income products and/or capital markets trading processes.
- Understanding of trade lifecycle and front-to-back financial markets processes.
- Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation experience.
- Experience working closely with both business and technology teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex financial services environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fixed Income trading, securities, rates, credit, bonds, or related capital markets products.
- Experience supporting trading platforms, market data, risk, operations, settlements, or post-trade processes.
- Experience with regulatory, risk, or controls-related initiatives within capital markets.
- Experience with SQL/data analysis.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar business analysis/project tools.
- Experience working with global teams and large-scale financial institutions.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong Business Analyst with genuine Fixed Income/Capital Markets experience, rather than a general IT BA. They should be comfortable discussing Fixed Income products, trade lifecycles, business processes, and working with both business and technology stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives.
