About The Opportunity
Our public sector client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Administrative Assistant to support a high profile modernization and digital transformation initiative in Ottawa.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to a program team responsible for delivering multiple initiatives involving stakeholder engagement, project planning, governance and organizational transformation.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare meeting materials including agendas, briefing materials, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and Records of Decision
- Coordinate meetings and stakeholder events, including scheduling, preparing invitations, coordinating attendees and presenters, booking meeting rooms and greeting participants
- Draft professional communications including emails, announcements and invitations
- Track project activities, action items and deliverables using tools such as Microsoft Planner, Excel and Miro
- Coordinate travel arrangements including airfare and accommodations
- Prepare supporting travel documentation and travel claims
- Provide additional administrative support to the program team as required
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A minimum of three years of experience within the past five years providing a broad range of administrative support services
- A minimum of two years of experience within the past five years using all of the following applications in a professional work environment:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive
- Microsoft Planner
- Strong organizational, time management and coordination skills
- Experience preparing professional correspondence, presentations and meeting documentation
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- A valid Government of Canada Secret security clearance at the level of Secret Level II
About the Job
- Duration: Approximately 40 weeks, anticipated October 19, 2026 to July 23, 2027.
- Location: National Capital Region.
- Estimated Hours: Approximately 1,440 hours.
- Travel: No travel required.
- Overtime: No overtime anticipated.
- Security: Secret Level II security clearance required.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined within this range based on candidate qualifications and the requirements of the competitive procurement process
