Target Compensation: From $28 per hour to $32 per hour, with some flexibility according to experience.
Regular Work Hours: 7.25 hours per day, not including .75-hour unpaid lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location: Hybrid - combination of 2 days remote-based and 3 days onsite at client's Toronto office on PATH near TTC / Union and GO Stations. May change to 100% onsite during the course of the assignment, and you must be flexible to move to a 100% onsite work arrangement upon request.
Position Reports To: Controller.
Responsibilities Summary:
Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, including invoice review, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor inquiries, and provide support to organizational projects.
- Process and reconcile employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
- Monitor outstanding payables and ensure timely, accurate payments.
- Maintain financial records and support period-end reporting.
- Assist with delegated financial authority administration and financial controls.
- Support ERP implementation and integration projects related to accounts payable, procurement, treasury, and expense management.
- Participate in data migration, validation, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and parallel-run activities.
- Assist with developing and improving Procure-to-Pay processes, policies, and procedures.
- Develop training materials and provide end-user support.
- Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end support activities.
- Generate financial reports, HST reporting, and management reporting.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Provide accounting support related to organizational acquisitions and wind-up activities.
- Additional Accounts Payable responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
Preferred Work Experience: Approximately 3 years of financial management and accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable.
Preferred Sector Experience: Experience within the public sector, government, broader public sector, or agency environment preferred.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) (will be tested).
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (will be tested).
- Strong numeracy, and attention to detail (will be tested).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Oracle Fusion is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or system integrations.
- Experience with SAP, QuickBooks, or other enterprise financial systems is an asset.
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
- Ability to work both remotely and onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
- Ability to promptly provide a 2-3 recent, qualified employment references at the point of client interview who are available to speak with either Marberg or Marberg's client.
- Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
- Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
