Compensation: From $37.86 to $41.91 per hour.

Regular Work Hours: 7.25 work hours per day with 1 hour lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location: Currently hybrid, with 2 days worked in office and 3 days from home. Wednesdays are anchor onsite work days. Work location is anticipated to convert to 100% onsite during the contract term and you must be available to work 100% onsite as required.
Position Reports To: Program Team Lead.
Responsibilities Summary:
Support implementation and execution of French Language Services organizational policy and strategy. Support provision of French language services programming tools, training, internal processes and resources (e.g. French-English lexicon). Manage translation requests and act as main point of contact for French Language Services clients.
- Manage translation requests for products and digital content.
- Coordinate provision of external translation services, ensuring compliance with government procurement directives and guidelines. Ensure invoicing and vendor contract compliance.
- Review and proofread translated materials for quality assurance. Liaise with vendors to enforce quality control.
- Act as main point of contact for French Language Services clients. Liaise with Office of Francophone Affairs to investigate, respond to and resolve any complaints regarding provision of French Language Services.
- Support development and implementation of French Language Services operational policies, processes, best practices, tools and resources to promote program participation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop administrative processes, evaluation tools, performance measures and monitoring systems to monitor, track, evaluate and provide reports on French Language Services program activities.
- Develop, recommend and support initiatives and special projects with direct impact on the Francophone community.
- Provide training to staff on existing and new French Language Services polices and processes.
- Support Human Resources with French recruitment and ensure recruitment policies and processes are compliant with French Language Services Act.
- Additional French Language Services program coordination, quality assurance, administration and client service responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, linguistics, or related field.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 3+ years of related experience in French language services program delivery, including translation, editing, proofreading, vendor coordination and client service.
Preferred Sector Experience: Public sector experience working with French Language Services Act. Expertise in working within an academic or science-related environment when using written communication and editorial skills.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams (will be tested).
- Demonstrated proficiency with SharePoint (will be tested).
- Experience with digital and web based eLearning and graphic design applications and processes.
- Strong typing and attention to detail (will be tested).
- Superior French language written skills including advanced business writing skills and excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax (will be tested).
- Superior French language conversational fluency (will be tested).
- Superior Level English language skills including advanced business writing skills and excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax (will be tested).
- Superior English language conversational fluency.
- Polished and professional telephone manners in both French and English.

- Demonstrated experience as a translator, including working with external translation agencies to translate content.

- Demonstrated ability to apply project management principles, methodologies and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, and in an advisory capacity, and liaise effectively with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available to complete a 2 hour onsite written and oral French evaluation as part of the client interview.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
- Ability to work both remotely and onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
- Ability to promptly provide qualified employment references upon request who are available to speak with either Marberg or Marberg's client.
- Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of position responsibilities.
- Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to position start.
- Additional satisfactory Background Checks, Technical Skills Evaluations, Interpersonal Skills Assessment, and Employment References as required.
