POSITION: End User Technology Solutions Architect
POSITION TYPE: Contract, full-time, 12 months
LOCATION: Greater Toronto Area
WORK SETTING: Hybrid, 3 days from the East Toronto office
REQUIRED:
- University Degree in computer science or related discipline
- 6+ years of progressive experience in End-User Computing (EUC), IT infrastructure architecture, or systems engineering
- 2+ years of experience leading end-user technology changes, mentoring a technical team to support implementation, and educating end-users
- Hands-on architectural experience with Unified Enterprise Management platforms such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), HCL BigFix, VMware, Virtual Apps and Desktops, or AWS End User Computing
- Comprehensive understanding of Windows 11, macOS, mobile device management (MDM) for iOS/Android, and meeting room hardware (end-user education, utilization, configuration, support of meetings)
- Familiarity with identity architectures (Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta) and associated endpoint security principles
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline IT operations and packaging solutions
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terms into clear, user-friendly business language
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Please provide input into the shared strategy for the endpoint ecosystem and take ownership of the architecture & solution design for the platforms used to deploy and manage associate endpoint ecosystems.
- Design endpoint management solutions, including configuration standards and deployment approaches, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and business objectives. Governance of the end-to-end process from base image to deployment to support.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert, technical lead, 3rd-level support, mentor, and share knowledge with the implementations team (~5 people)
- Act as the primary technical owner for the overall associate experience related to end-user technology solutions, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and meeting rooms.
- Manage the end-to-end hardware lifecycle for end-user devices, establishing standards and controls to ensure assets are tracked and upgraded regularly.
