Software Developer
ProxyLinks Government Client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Software Developer to join its technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-level applications and software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Database, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix Shell Scripting, and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), along with a solid understanding of financial and inventory business processes.
This position requires a developer who can translate complex technical and business requirements into reliable, scalable, and well-tested applications while working collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, project managers, and other IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical systems specifications and business requirements into functional, reliable, and fully tested software applications.
- Develop detailed programming specifications based on business and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, modify, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and software solutions.
- Write, generate, compile, and maintain application code in accordance with established development standards.
- Develop data-driven applications and ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and technical validation of applications.
- Design and implement application components that meet functional, technical, performance, and security requirements.
- Analyze existing applications, identify technical issues, and recommend appropriate enhancements or solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems arising during the use and operation of software applications and packages.
- Provide technical support during application implementation, system conversions, upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Participate in application modernization, enhancement, and integration initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, code reviews, and design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, programming specifications, test plans, implementation documentation, and user/system documentation.
- Assist with application deployments and provide post-implementation support.
- Investigate and resolve production issues and provide timely technical solutions.
- Support data conversion, migration, and integration activities as required.
- Review, analyze, and modify installation and deployment scripts, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
- Ensure applications adhere to applicable government standards, policies, accessibility requirements, security practices, and development methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and overall user experience.
- Participate in knowledge transfer and provide technical guidance to other team members when required.
- Perform other related duties and technical assignments as required.

Oracle Software Development Experience
The successful candidate will have significant experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite and enterprise Oracle environments.
Key technical responsibilities include:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications and customizations.
- Conduct technical and business impact assessments for Oracle E-Business Suite customizations, extensions, integrations, and enhancements.
- Analyze existing Oracle applications and determine the impact of proposed changes on related modules, interfaces, reports, and business processes.
- Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and other database components.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL and SQL code to support business applications and data-processing requirements.
- Develop and maintain XML-based solutions and integrations.
- Create and maintain Unix shell scripts for application processing, automation, data handling, and deployment activities.
- Use Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to support data integration, transformation, migration, and loading activities.
- Support data conversions and migrations involving Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Troubleshoot database, application, integration, and data-related issues.
- Conduct testing and validation of Oracle customizations and integrations.
- Support production implementation, post-implementation stabilization, and ongoing application maintenance.
