Financial Reporting Manager

The Company
Our client is a NASDAQ-listed royalty company headquartered in downtown Vancouver. It gives investors diversified exposure to uranium and critical minerals through royalties, streams, debt and equity investments, and physical uranium holdings. Its portfolio of long-life, low-cost assets keeps growing, and the finance team is expanding to support its reporting as a US-listed issuer. We'll share the company's name with shortlisted candidates later in the process.
The Opportunity
You'll own external financial reporting and consolidations. The title (Manager or Senior Manager) and the balance between preparing and reviewing will depend on your experience. If you're a high performer ready for the next step, this is a chance to grow with an expanding public company.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and/or review the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings, including the financial statements and notes
- Handle consolidations across multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and the consolidated working papers
- Review work from junior staff, and coach them to keep it accurate, complete and compliant
- Keep reporting in line with US GAAP
- Run the quarter-end and year-end close, including variance analysis and disclosure schedules
- Be the main contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Help document and test internal controls
- Work with other teams to collect and validate the information reporting depends on
- Research technical accounting questions and write memos when new transactions or standards come up
- Improve reporting and consolidation processes
- Take on special projects as needed
What You Bring
- CPA or equivalent (required)
- Big 4 public accounting background (required)
- A strong performance record, such as "exceeds expectations" ratings in recent reviews
- Public company experience and a strong command of US GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus)
- Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing 10-K/10-Q filings and consolidated financial statements
- Full-cycle consolidation experience in a multi-entity organization
- Comfort working as a preparer or a reviewer, depending on team needs
- NetSuite experience (strongly preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with close attention to detail
- Ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-growing company
- A collaborative team player who also works well on their own
