SMS Equipment is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Parts Administrator to provide administrative support to the Parts Department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate departmental records, organizing documentation, and supporting parts, inventory, purchase order, work order, and accounts payable activities in a busy, high-volume environment.
Work Location: Elkford, BC.
Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 per annum.
Work Arrangement: Fixed on site – working from the office each day.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What You'll Do:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Parts Department.
- Maintain organized and accurate departmental files, records, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain purchase order files for customers and vendors.
- Complete work order maintenance, including maintaining exchange files.
- Perform accounts payable functions related to freight and parts activities.
- Support purchase order processing and general ledger coding.
- Compile, calculate, count, verify, and compare parts and inventory information.
- Assist department team members with special projects.
- Complete other administrative duties as required.
What You Bring:
The successful candidate will have related education and at least 2 years of administrative experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered. The ideal candidate is highly organized, methodical, and attentive to detail, with the ability to maintain a large volume of records in a fast-paced environment.
Other requirements include:
- Experience working in a parts department is an asset.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer operations and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of computerized inventory systems, such as eXtend, is an asset.
- Strong organizational and records-management skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail when processing documentation and maintaining files.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple administrative tasks effectively.
