Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Service Superintendent with a strong background in the glass and aluminum industry.
This role involves working closely with the Service Manager to coordinate service operations, oversee project activities, and maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate commercial glazing service operations, schedules, and project activities.
- Perform accurate site measurements and support project layout and planning.
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and site requirements to ensure efficient project execution.
- Oversee exterior and interior glazing projects, ensuring quality standards and project specifications are met.
- Support service scheduling, job coordination, and day-to-day operational requirements.
- Communicate with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project timelines.
- Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with site safety requirements and applicable standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, service records, and scheduling information.
- Assist the Service Manager with workflow planning, resource allocation, and continuous service improvements.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of commercial glazing experience.
- Valid Red Seal Glazier certification.
- Extensive experience with both exterior and interior commercial glazing projects.
- Previous experience in service department operations, scheduling, or project coordination is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of site measurements, glazing layouts, installation methods, and project requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to meet applicable driver abstract requirements.
- Ability to complete required security clearances and site-specific clearances.
- Willingness to participate in multiple interviews and on-site skills assessments.
