Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to lead onsite execution of a large-scale warehouse automation and material handling installation project.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and has experience overseeing complex equipment installations, coordinating subcontractors, and driving projects from initial site mobilization through commissioning and final customer acceptance.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in conveyor systems, automated material handling equipment, warehouse automation, or large-scale electro-mechanical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily onsite operations, ensuring installation activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation teams, subcontractors, engineering personnel, and commissioning resources.
- Oversee installation of automated material handling systems, conveyor equipment, and related industrial automation technologies.
- Champion onsite safety initiatives, enforce compliance requirements, and maintain high standards for quality and workmanship.
- Manage site readiness, equipment deliveries, materials, inventory, and installation resources.
- Coordinate commissioning, system testing, punch-list resolution, and customer acceptance activities.
- Serve as the primary onsite customer contact, providing project updates, facilitating meetings, and resolving issues.
- Monitor project schedules, resource utilization, site-related costs, and potential risks.
- Lead project closeout activities, including documentation, customer sign-offs, and site demobilization.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in Site Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or Industrial Equipment Installation.
- Experience overseeing automated electro-mechanical equipment installation and commissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage onsite contractors, installation crews, and multiple project workstreams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience coordinating mechanical and electrical installation activities.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing leadership skills.
- Familiarity with materials management, inventory systems, and MRP/ERP platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
