About The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic HR team. This full-time role is based out of our Waterloo Corporate office and offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility to work remotely and in-office within Ontario. The HR Business Partner will serve as a vital link between leadership and staff, providing strategic HR support and guidance across multiple departments. Reporting directly to the Regional Human Resources Manager, this role involves working closely with leaders at all levels to develop and implement people management strategies aligned with organizational goals. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all employee-related matters within their designated portfolio, ensuring effective communication, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to influence organizational culture, support workforce development, and contribute to the overall success of CarePartners.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a university or college degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, with a preference for those holding a CHRP or CHRL designation. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience across various HR disciplines is required, with a proven track record in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and organizational development. Experience working in large, multi-site unionized environments is considered an asset, particularly within the healthcare or homecare sectors. The candidate should demonstrate high personal integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethical practices. Strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels are essential. Proficiency in MS Office applications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are also required. A clear background check is mandatory to ensure compliance and trustworthiness.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR support and coaching to designated client groups, covering areas such as employee and labor relations, recruitment, performance management, recognition, engagement, remuneration, learning, and succession planning.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, ensuring organizational structures, processes, and competencies are aligned with business objectives and future growth.
- Manage employee relations issues with fairness and professionalism, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and collective agreements.
- Assist in interpreting, administering, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and lead grievance resolution, mediation, and investigations within the client groups.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, providing insights to support informed decision-making by business leaders.
- Support the Senior Director of HR in executing people-related projects and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Model and uphold the core values of CarePartners, including patient-focus, integrity, accountability, partnership, teamwork, transparency, respect, and innovation.
