Test analyst/Business Analyst II – Content Migration & Validation
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid, currently 2 days onsite
Contract: 1 year, with possible extension/conversion
Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours

About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst II to support a large-scale content migration project within a major financial institution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in validating content migrated from OpenText TeamSite to SharePoint, ensuring that content, functionality, procedures, and supporting materials have transferred accurately and completely.
This role is ideal for someone with strong testing, content validation, and defect documentation experience who is highly detail-oriented and comfortable identifying and communicating issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Compare migrated content against legacy content to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Validate that all required content has been successfully migrated from OpenText TeamSite to SharePoint.
- Verify that the functionality of the new SharePoint site is working as expected.
- Review pages to ensure all content, tables, attachments, links, and supporting materials have migrated correctly.
- Identify missing, inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrectly sequenced content.
- Validate that procedures and customer-facing instructions have transferred accurately.
- Identify missing steps or discrepancies that could potentially impact customers.
- Perform detailed testing and re-testing following issue resolution.
- Document defects clearly and track them through resolution.
- Support migration readiness activities and identify potential migration issues.
- Assist with identifying and validating scripting-related issues to ensure scripts/functionality are working correctly.
- Collaborate with the broader migration team to resolve issues and improve migration quality.
- Communicate challenges, risks, and discrepancies clearly to project stakeholders.
- Apply critical thinking and attention to detail when reviewing migrated content.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience in testing, quality assurance, business analysis, or content validation.
- Hands-on experience with OpenText TeamSite and SharePoint.
- Experience validating migrated content and identifying discrepancies.
- Experience with testing and re-testing applications, websites, or migrated content.
- Strong experience documenting, tracking, and communicating defects.
- Experience working on content migration, website migration, or platform migration projects.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical/critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned tasks.
- Comfortable identifying errors, raising concerns, and articulating challenges to stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with HTML or basic HTML coding.
- Previous experience working on content migration or platform migration projects.
- Experience with OpenText TeamSite to SharePoint migrations.
- Banking, financial services, or other large enterprise experience.
- Experience working with internal intranet or enterprise content management platforms.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented tester/business analyst who understands content management platforms and can methodically compare legacy and migrated content. You should be comfortable identifying even small discrepancies, documenting defects, validating fixes, and re-testing to ensure issues are fully resolved.
Experience with OpenText TeamSite, SharePoint, content management, and migration validation will be particularly valuable.
