Job SummaryThe successful candidate will join the New Build Pod and/or Maintenance Pod within RESL Automation, part of the Colleague Enablement ART. Working in an Agile environment, the team develops and maintains business solutions that drive process simplification, operational excellence, and colleague enablement across RESL. They will be supporting existing production tools used across Operations & Delivery, while also working with business partners and delivery teams on the creation of new process improvement tools. Our team is a passionate team of technically savvy subject matter experts that reside under Operations Performance & Modernization, CPB Operations. We support the ideation, development, deployment and governance of new tools, processes and workflows that support our production teams. We embrace Agile methodologies, allowing us to deploy new tools quickly and efficiently that exceeds the expectation of our business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop code for use cases and tools for the operations team to support their processes, including automating processes
- Support existing production tools used across Operations & Delivery
- Work with business partners and delivery teams on the creation of new process improvement tools
- Support the ideation, development, deployment, and governance of new tools, processes, and workflows that support production teams
- Operate within a collaborative, Agile team environment of 10 people
- Interact with internal stakeholders (internal only); handle access to customer data as required
- Spend approximately 1–2 hours per day in meetings on average
Required Skills- 5 years of code development and SDLC experience
- Front end: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Backend: VBA
- Database: SQL Server, optimizing queries and stored procedures
- MS Access and MS Excel – Macros
- API methods
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong demo/presentation skills (describing functionality of end product)
Preferred Skills- Agile experience
- Code review experience
- Banking or financial institution experience
- Jira, Confluence
- Lean Six Sigma (asset)
Education Requirements- Degree or Diploma required
Required Experience- 5 years of overall professional experience
