JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Junior Technologist – Electronics Production to support manufacturing and production activities for a leading Canadian space technology company. This role is ideal for an early-career technologist looking to grow their experience within a highly technical production environment.
Working under the guidance of senior technologists and engineers, you will help develop production methods, create work instructions, support manufacturing teams during assembly, and ensure production processes are executed efficiently and accurately. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Project Management, and Production teams while contributing to the successful delivery of advanced aerospace products.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- DEC (College Diploma) in Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline
- 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or technical support environment
- Experience supporting production and assembly activities within a manufacturing setting
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and production workflows
- Experience working with ERP systems, production databases, or manufacturing management systems
- Ability to interpret engineering concepts and translate them into clear work instructions and production documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
- Fluent French required (spoken and written); English is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Aerospace or high-tech manufacturing experience
- Experience creating production routings, assembly instructions, or work orders
- Exposure to Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering teams
- Familiarity with non-conformance and quality processes (NCRs, ECNs, rework procedures, etc.)
- Experience supporting new product introduction or production readiness activities
- Knowledge of electronic assemblies and electronic manufacturing processes
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Compensation:
$74,000 to $94,000
