Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures to reflect applicable federal, provincial and local legislation, as well as company policies.
Work with HR, Finance and IT to support the integration of payroll processes with other business functions.

Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and managers, providing clear guidance on issues and policies.
Support external auditors during payroll audits and help ensure audit requirements are met.
Provide backup to other members of the payroll team as needed.
Keep up to date with changes to Canadian payroll legislation and help ensure statutory requirements are met.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll and time processes, and share insights and recommendations with the team.

What you bring

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
A sound understanding of internal controls and payroll best practices.
The ability to learn new systems, adapt to changing processes and manage multiple priorities.
