Responsibilities:
Operations
- Lead operational activities and ensure quality, efficiency, and business continuity.
- Plan resources and monitor SLAs to promptly address gaps and operational issues.
- Oversee periodic and year-end activities, including statement production.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery to advisors and stakeholders.
Advisor services
- Lead the Advisor Services team, which supports advisors and their teams with operational and client account-related requests.
- Ensure efficient, professional, and solution-oriented service delivery.
- Analyze service volumes, recurring requests, and pain points to identify priority improvements.
- Foster close collaboration between the Advisor Services team and operational teams to ensure seamless request management.
Performance, KPIs and Controls
- Monitor KPIs, including volumes, turnaround times, SLAs, quality, and productivity, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Analyze data to anticipate issues and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain operational controls to minimize risk and reduce errors.
- Leverage technology, including artificial intelligence, to support analysis and operational performance.
Policies, Procedures and Operational compliance
- Develop, review, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and processes.
- Ensure procedures are properly documented, implemented, and regularly updated.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements within areas of responsibility.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Finance, and FinOps teams and participate in operational audits.
Vendors and Operational platforms
- Serve as the primary business contact for vendors and fund companies.
- Monitor and manage platform-related issues, incidents, changes, and enhancement requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams on operationally impactful implementations and system changes.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead, engage, and develop employees within the department.
- Promote a culture of accountability, discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Finance, FinOps, Compliance, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, and other business units.
- Participate in corporate projects impacting operations.
- Act as the organization’s subject matter expert in securities operations.
What you will need to succeed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of operations management experience within a securities brokerage environment.
- Experience managing teams, supporting advisors, and monitoring performance through KPIs, SLAs, and operational controls.
- Experience in process optimization, operational transformation, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of the securities industry and its regulatory environment.
- Comfortable working with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
- Bilingual in French and English, with the ability to support operational activities and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Securities industry regulatory certifications.
