Responsibilities
Transport patients safely and promptly to appointments and other hospital locations, assisting with lifting and positioning and remaining with patients during procedures when required. Handle specimens and patient-related materials, document transport details, maintain clean and safe equipment, respond to emergency codes, and perform other assigned duties across campuses.
Requirements
Secondary school completion and proficiency with computer applications are required, along with at least one year of experience interacting with patients in a healthcare setting. Recent patient transport porter experience is preferred; candidates must also be able to meet the physical demands of the role, work with minimal supervision and under pressure, and understand infection control and workplace safety requirements.
