Senior Contract Management Professional
Location: – Burnaby, 2-3 days a week, Hybrid
Contract: 12 months with a strong possibility of extension
We’re looking for an experienced Contract Management Professional to support the management of complex contracts within a large, highly regulated organization.
This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with extensive experience managing contracts, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders, monitoring contract performance, and ensuring contractual, financial, and procurement requirements are met.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage complex contracts from a commercial and operational perspective
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure contractual obligations are being met
- Identify contract issues and risks and take timely action to resolve them
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and supply chain teams
- Provide contract reporting and communicate key issues, risks and performance updates
- Monitor and forecast contract usage, budgets and financial controls
- Provide guidance to business groups on sourcing, procurement and contract management
- Apply strong knowledge of public-sector procurement practices and legislation
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure projects and operations are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years of contract management experience
- Strong experience managing complex contracts
- Excellent supplier/vendor management and stakeholder relationship skills
- Strong understanding of sourcing, procurement and supply chain principles
- Knowledge of public-sector procurement law and practices
- Experience with contract performance monitoring, risk management, reporting and financial controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Project Management or Supply Chain Management certification is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
