Resident Maintenance Manager
Location: Chilliwack, BC

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 CAD annually

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on and dependable Resident Maintenance Manager to support a residential portfolio in Chilliwack consisting of approximately 183 units across three properties.
This is a varied role combining building maintenance, suite repairs, resident support and some leasing responsibilities. The ideal candidate is approachable, proactive and comfortable being the go-to person when residents need assistance.
You should enjoy working with people while also being confident rolling up your sleeves to handle repairs, painting, drywall work and general property maintenance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete day-to-day maintenance and repair requests from residents
- Handle minor repairs such as leaky faucets, clogged drains, lock changes, hardware adjustments and basic electrical issues
- Complete painting, drywall repairs and suite turnover work between tenancies
- Perform daily property rounds and help maintain building safety, security and cleanliness
- Troubleshoot unexpected maintenance issues and respond to emergencies, including occasional after-hours calls
- Identify preventative maintenance needs and provide regular updates to the Property Manager
- Build positive relationships with residents and respond professionally to questions and concerns
- Assist with leasing vacant units, including meeting prospective tenants, screening applicants and completing reference checks
- Work closely with other members of the building and property management team
- Assist with general upkeep and basic landscaping as required
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on repair and handyman skills
- Experience with painting and drywall repairs
- Carpentry and/or renovation experience
- General knowledge of building systems and property maintenance
- Previous residential building or property maintenance experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Calm and professional when dealing with resident concerns or unexpected situations
- General understanding of the BC Residential Tenancy Act and Regulations
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check and meet required credit criteria
Preferred: Approximately 5 years of maintenance experience
